Tracy took in the overcrowded scene with a glint in her eye. What had once seemed like “The Impossible” was about to become “The Big Easy”.
Two years earlier, Tracy’s wandering gaze had caught her husband’s knowing eyes. They loved each other and the awesome life they had built together. Their family, their friends, their house, their cottage. It was nothing short of amazing! But Tracy was not one to settle and she was never afraid of new challenges. And so that one mischievous look set them on an exciting path to their next big adventure.

Downsizing was not the main driving factor for these two characters. They were focussed on gaining the security and simplicity that would give them the flexibility and freedom to explore… and they were determined to take advantage of this opportunity with all the personal possessions they held dear. Now Tracy had lots of stuff so it was especially appealing to her that she could choose from home plans over 1000 square feet with options for garages, lofts, sunrooms, decks and more.
Regardless of the spacious options available to her, Tracy was determined to right-size. But how do you reduce a lifelong quest of collecting, hunting, coddling, amassing? HANG AROUND AND FIND OUT was her secret weapon.
Tracy moved into her brand-new Park Model home one year after that fateful glance with the man she loves. She brought with her the items she thought she couldn’t part with. Now, another year had passed, and Tracy anticipated her task for the day with a big grin.
You see, when Tracy originally loaded her resort-home closet, she made sure ALL the hangers faced the same direction. This was not because she was particularly fussy about such details, but rather, because she knew a day-of-reconning was coming. Throughout the past year, every time Tracy used an item from her closet, she returned it with the hanger in the opposite direction of its original placement.
Today, Tracy’s daunting task was easy. Any items in her now overcrowded closet that had “hung around” for 4 seasons without being turned over … WERE OVER.
